Over the past couple of years, I have been researching my family and recently discovered that my mother was adopted. On her birth certificate there is an address of the location where she was born in March 1927. The address is 33 King Edward Road, Bloemfontein. I am trying to find out whether this was the location of a hospital or a home for unwed mothers (maternity home) or something else. I have not been able to find any information on the web and thought someone from the community would be able to help or point me in the right direction.

Any information or guidance would be highly appreciated.
