Join the Lower Albany Historical Society tour of the KwaMaqoma Museum. The tour will take place on Friday 19 September 2025 and is scheduled to start at 11:00 at the KwaMaqoma Museum.
Military historian, Prof Pat Irwin, will talk on the attack on Fort Beaufort among other things. Trevor Webster will talk on the Healdtown display and the Maqoma statue. The occasion will be used to pay tribute to Mzie Makalima, the creator of the Maqoma statue and share how it was donated to the Museum.
The second part of the trip will entail driving to the nearby Healdtown to tour the mission and capture its ethos under the guidance of Trevor Webster.
We shall have our picnic lunch together and then return home.
All are welcome to join the tour.
RSVP: Please revert to Trevor Webster no later than Wednesday 17 September 2025 to confirm your attendance. trevann@procomp.co.za or 072 990 0646
