This is the Post Office in Port St Johns, on the Wild Coast, Eastern Cape. As you you can see, it is an example of Art Deco Architecture. It is sad, neglected, ugly, and worse it brings our whole town down to its neglected state. We have written to the Post Office many times, and asked them to do something. They said they had no money. It is time for the community to push things forward. An offer of free paint has already come in from Boardman Bros in Ladysmith. Is there a heritage consultant that could advise pro bono?

If anyone has old photos, historical details, name of architect etc. this will help as well.
