House Schabort (Kathy Munro)
This striking design was the work of architects Emley and Williamson and built in 1927. The great curving façade embraces the warmth of the northern orientation and expresses an hospital welcome to visitors. It was built for the eminent gynaecologist and obstetrician Dr I Schabort who headed this department at the Johannesburg General Hospital.
