Enjoy walking to unexplored parts of this fort, originally built in 1666 and still used as an army base. Jeanne Bonnema has spent the last year researching stories about this heritage site, including the secret World War activities, anti-Apartheid activism and a cheeky baboon.

The Castle re-opens on Fri having been closed for several weeks for the filming of TriStar's Woman King, being released in Sept. (The Castle was also a location in Netflix's Crown.)
