Philip Caveney will give an illustrated talk at 17h30 on Tuesday 22 November at Cearn Hall on Leisure Island about the early foresters of Knysna. In 1880 the Comte Mederic de Vasselot came to the Cape Colony and assembled a strong team of professional foresters to save the inigenous forests of the Cape. This talk is about the forestry team in Knynsa. Free admission to Society Members, guests R30 per person.
