Melville Residents Association (MRA)

Melville is one of Johannesburg's oldest suburbs, where tradition and innovation sit side by side. Representing the old, the Melville Koppies Nature Reserve has put our suburb on the map as a Johannesburg City Heritage site with geology going back three billion years. Tourists flock to explore its ancient history on the doorstep of “new” Melville, where a contemporary café society beckons. Residents who’ve lived here for generations are likely to share memories of fruit orchards, milk deliveries, a blacksmith on the high street and strangers dropping in for homemade ginger beer. The Melville Residents' Association committee is comprised of residents from the Greater Melville Community with the commitment to look out for the best interest of its residents. A Community working together in order to keep ourselves safe & the integrity of Melville intact whilst promoting quality of life.
