Does anyone have knowledge of this cross pattée carved into the rock on Elsies Peak?

Notice Expiry:

I wonder if anybody has knowledge of or could comment on the attached photo of a 168 mm cross pattée carved into the rock on Elsies Peak, Fish Hoek, Cape Town. It is clearly quite old. Thank you.
