Volunteers meet at Horwoods Farm at 9am on the 2nd Saturday morning of each month indicated below, with the exception of July when we participate in the Mandela Day Community Project, the date and venue will be advised. A specific area is identified where work is needed to done and boards are placed at the entrance to the farm as well as the working area.  All volunteers wear green pinafores to ensure that the group is easily identifiable.  Water /Oros  is freely available and a free brunch is supplied at the end of the clean up at 12pm  (Please advise if you have any dietary preferences e.g. vegetarian option). 

If available, PLEASE bring your garden implements which must be clearly marked, plastic garden gloves, hats, a supply of sunscreen and a bottle of water.  Donations of black bags are always appreciated but not essential.

A signed Certificate of Participation is available for each student upon request.

  • August – No clean up due to cold weather
  • September 10th
  • October 8th
  • November 12th
  • December – No clean up – annual vacation

Should the proposed elections take place on any of the allocated dates, the project will be cancelled for that date/month.
