The owner of erven: 1–28, 107-131, 212-232, Mayfair West, JOHANNESBURG plans to develop the sites. The new development will include the consolidation of the erven to facilitate the establishment of a newly constructed multi-purpose hall, new sport fields and play grounds, new public library, pedestrian amenities and parking, as well as the inclusion of the existing Municipal Pool complex as a heritage feature.

A notice concerning this development, was submitted to PHRA-G and an HIA is currently being prepared on these properties, in terms of section 38 of the National Heritage Resources Act.
