Prof Walter Peters - Architect & Heritage Practitioner
 

Prof Walter Peters is a highly acclaimed architect and heritage practioner based in Cape Town. He has been the editor of the tri-annual Journal of the KwaZulu-Natal Institute for Architecture since 1982. He is the recipient of the Writers and Critics Award (1989) and Medal of Distinction (2005) of the SA Institute of Architects. Prof Peters was the Sophia Gray Laureate in 2009 and chose the topic "More Ways of being an Architect".

He dedicates his time and passion to Architectural Heritage in the Western Cape.

He is a member of the Association of Professional Heritage Practitioners (APHP), the South African Council for the Architectural Profession (SACAP), the South African Institute of Architects (SAIA), the Cape Institute for Architecture (CIFA) and the The KwaZulu-Natal Institute for Architecture (KZNIA).
