MEMORIST HERITAGE is delighted to announce the launch of its first Paper Conservation Workshop in Cape Town. This initiative complements the annual workshop we have already been running at the National Archives and Records Service in Pretoria - and we are thrilled to now extend the program to Cape Town.
Led by Samuel Maia Arrojado Rodrigues (La Reliure du Limousin), an experienced specialist in heritage paper and book conservation, the hands-on training will cover:
- The history of papermaking, bookbinding, and inks
- Practical conservation techniques and disaster management strategies
- Intervention protocols to safeguard fragile documents
Whether you are a professional conservator, archivist, librarian, or simply passionate about cultural heritage, this workshop will give you practical skills to protect and preserve our paper heritage.
