Does anyone recognise the woman in this painting?

I own this painting, known as “The Herb Gatherer” or “Peasant Parasol,” showing a woman carrying vegetation along a rocky path.

Does anyone recognise the landscape or the woman? Could she be a relative? Have you seen this painting in an old photograph, collection or family record?

Its attribution to Irma Stern remains unconfirmed. I’m looking for information about the scene, the person depicted and the painting’s history.

Please contact me privately with any information, especially dated photographs or records. Please share this appeal to help it reach someone who may recognise it.
