My name is Meghan Eby, I am a research assistant working under the supervision of Professor Robert Barsky, Canada Research Chair: Law, Narrative and Border Crossing (2019-2020). Our research pertains to negotiation of the 1967 Refugee Protocol. Specifically, I have been tasked with searching for primary documents relating to the discussions of the Bellagio Colloquium in 1965 and/or the 1967 Refugee Protocol. Thus, any primary documents within the timespan of 1965-1970 would be ideal.

Since there were officials located within South Africa at the time, I am reaching out in hopes of advancing my research and uncovering any primary documents such as letters, cables, notes, minutes from meetings, etcetera of these officials or offices located in South Africa at the time.

Any help from the community regarding the officials/offices in South Africa that were involved in the 1965 Bellagio Colloquium would be greatly appreciated. HERE is a link to an article written by my supervisor that further depicts our topic of research and might provide you with more insights into what we are searching for.
