The Van Plettenberg Historical Society’s plaque campaign to recognise relics of historic significance in Plettenberg Bay and the vicinity is now in its final stage which is the erection of plaques on the appropriate buildings. The first such relic in the town to receive a plaque will be the historic Timbershed erected in Meeding St, Hobie Beach in 1788. The ceremony on Heritage Day, 24 th September will be hosted by the Van Plettenberg Historical Society at 11.00.
