The attached image of the Pierneef drawing of Zoo Lake in 1913 will be on auction shortly, and weâd like to source a photo of Zoo Lake showing the Westcliff Ridge taken around the time of the drawing. We would also like to identify the buildings depicted in the drawing. We think the buildings on the Westcliff Ridge in view might include what is now Hope House (or what was Pallinghurst, built for Raymond Schumacher), Murray Gordon Mansions (now the Four Seasons Hotel) and maybe Glenshielâ¦
Iâd be so grateful if anyone has any photos in their collections taken around the same time, and taken from the same or a similar angle as the drawing.
