Can anyone tell me more about these old photographs?

I inherited these photographs from a family member who never told us where they came from or who is present in the photos. They are a family either from the Transvaal or Free State before the South Africa / Anglo Boer War or from Southern Rhodesia after the war.

Can anyone from the community shed any light on these or refer me to someone? The one picture has inscription JK Claase, Afnemer.
