Fish Hoek Valley Historical Association hosts its annual quiz evening on Thursday 14 September 2017 from 17h45 for 18h00 til 20h00.

Teams of four, each with a nickname eg: The Histericals, are welcome to register beforehand for this lighthearted evening of fun. Typically, teams are drawn from businesses, social groups, organisations and groups of individuals.

The event, limited to 8 teams of four people each, will be based on Joy Cobern’s book Fish Hoek Looking Back (available on line), the displays at Fish Hoek Valley Museum and, questions on architectural features of selected buildings.

Questions will be confined to history within the four nooks (corners) of Fish Hoek Valley.

It is an open book event and on line searches are allowed.

Guest of honour and Quizmaster is Desiree Mentor of Sub Council 19, Fish Hoek. Desiree is known for her "rapid fire" approach so you are advised to know your stuff; fumbling through books and googling may not be competitive enough.

The prize is made up of (1). A Saturday breakfast and coffee gift voucher for one person for each member of the winning team, courtesy Stag Coffee Co. (2). A book voucher to the value of R50 for each member of the winning team, courtesy The Bookworm. (3). A discounted photocopy/laminating voucher for each member of the winning team, courtesy Lamitall (Ts and Cs apply). (4). A coffee voucher for a take-out coffee for each member of the winning team courtesy Pull In Brew (next door to The Great White Sport Shop).

Sponsored trays of sumptious snacks, glasses of juice and, cappuccino coffee on special, will be available, courtesy Stag Coffee Co and STBB Attorneys.
