The PGS Heritage Group of companies are independent heritage consultancies providing advice and solutions to public and private sector. Our company was established in 2003 in South Africa. We have a presence in Portugal, South Africa, Mozambique and Lesotho, thus enabling us to serve the need of our clients in African and European continents. Our unique understanding of the African business and social environment allows us to provide a tailored product that releases to all product stakeholders.
Our in-house specialists and associates provide a comprehensive Heritage Impact Assessment addressing the full heritage spectrum, including history, archaeology, palaeontology and architectural assessments. PGS’s staff contingent enables a fast reaction and implementation period and is especially geared toward mitigation projects as required by our clients, all over the African and European continents.
PGS provides services on the complete grave relocation process, grave investigations using ground penetrating radar (GPR) heritage service and social impact studies and we work closely with the relevant authorities to comply with legislation and stipulations. We communicate and co-operate with government, communities, community organisations and other stakeholders. We manage and participate in large scale projects with a qualified team of field workers with years of practical experience.
