The Lower Albany Historical Society

The Lower Albany Historical Society was established in 1958, and has been active for the past 61 years. The Society aims to search for and collect knowledge concerning the history of Lower Albany, to disseminate such knowledge, and to preserve historical buildings and movable objects.  The LAHS was instrumental in the establishment of the Kowie Museum in the mid 1980’s
The LAHS organises 10 meetings or outings each year, and publishes the sought-after journal, The Toposcope, annually.
