Now is the time for Durbanites to unite and get behind a great cause â the refurbishment of the former Addington Childrenâs Hospital. Durban Walking Tours is hosting a charity walk inside the hospital in aid of this landmark facilityâs planned upgrade and calls on Durbanites to assist. This approx. 2 hour walk aims to raise funds towards the hospitalâs sorely needed renovations. The R160 tour fee will be donated to the administrators overseeing the hospitalâs refurbishment.
It is comforting to know that some of the beautiful artwork by Mary Stainbank has been preserved and restored. The ceramic tiles bearing names of former donors have been cleaned up and relocated to the new Psychology Centre.
