On an earlier version of The Heritage Portal we tracked progress on the massive Newtown Junction Development. An estimated R1.2 billion was invested in this massive project that has the potential to transform this part of the city. A number of highly significant heritage structures were incorporated in the design. The development was the big winner at the SAPOA Awards earlier this year.
