The Forge specializes in customized wrought iron manufacturing and restoration of ironmongery. Nicolas Lehmann designs and handcrafts functional hardware using the traditional blacksmithing methods of forging.
Items include Architectural hardware such as Balustrades, railings staircases, security gates, burglar bars and doors, pergolas, fireplaces, lighting such as chandeliers. Also exquisite hand forged tables and chairs and original art pieces are manufactured using pure blacksmithing techniques. The forge caters for both residential, commercial and heritage buildings for South Africa to the International Market.
Restoration projects to date include the Castle of Good Hope in 2014-2016, The Montebello Gates, Spiers, various Cape Dutch heritage buildings within South Africa, Cap Estel Hotel in France.
