In Jo’burg on Women’s Day? You are invited to a free glass studio open day at which Associate Professor Ariane Janse van Rensburg of the School of Architecture and Planning will give lectures and demonstrations of the techniques used to make Notre Dame’s famous windows and explain why they survived the blaze. There will also be a workshop for those who would like to try painting their own vitrail, for which there is a materials cost. The open day will also feature gallery sales and a tea garden.
