You are cordially invited to the unveiling of the first two heritage plaques in Modderfontein. One commemorates the first granite rocks from the first quarry at Modderfontein. These are presently located at 8 Brussels Ave. The other plaque marks the water point originally supplying water from the Klondyke Spring to the residents in the villages close to the factory.
The plaque unveiling will take place on Wednesday 5 April at 10:00, meeting first at 8 Brussels Ave, Thornhill Estate and then proceeding to Central Park. After the short ceremonies, you are invited to tea at the Community Centre.
