Does anyone have information on Count Jacques De Waru?

For some time I have been trying to learn about the elusive Count Jacques De Waru, a french businessman working in Johannesburg around 1900 and who may have worked the Struben Confidence Reef mine for a while. Does anyone from the community have any information?
