Cullinan Heritage Society

The Cullinan Heritage Society was formed during the 1980s, mainly to renovate the murals painted by the Italian Prisoners of War in the Recreation Club. The main objectives of the Cullinan Heritage Society as set out by its constitution are:

  • To trace important historical, cultural or architecturally significant buildings and places and to record data about them.
  • To promote the preservation of such buildings in the area of Cullinan.
  • To collect documents, objects and materials of historical value.
  • To compile and publish magazines maps books and other reports of the importance which deal with the activities of the society or which are of Historical interest.

The Society currently through its volunteers runs and administers the McHardy House Museum and the Cullinan History room.
