We are very pleased that on 21 July 2018, Prof Fransjohan Pretorius will be speaking at Kedar Heritage Lodge on General Christiaan de Wet's astonishing escape over the Magaliesberg. This took place on 21 August 1900, when de Wet and 250 of his men were being pursued by more than 50 000 British soldiers. Prof Pretorius is a leading authority on the South African War, and on this subject in particular. We are sure that this will be a very interesting talk.
