I have recently discovered by chance the existence of a journal named "Union - Blaetter der Emigration" published in the 1930's and 1940's by Jewish emigrants to South Africa who had escaped Germany.  It appears rather similar to to the journal "AUFBAU" in concept.

The publication under the supervision of Dr H O Simon,  48 Walter Wise’s Bldg   50 Joubert Johannesburg was Printed by the Commercial Printing Co (Pty) Ltd New Era Building, Corner DeVilliers and Loveday Streets, Johannesburg for the Publishers, Presto Advertising, 48 Walter Wise’sBuilding, 50 Joubert Street

Does anyone have any information such as

1. From when till when it was published and whether there is a complete set available anywhere?
2. From when till when did the journal appear?
3. Would there still be a set of these journals somewhere?
4. Do you have any biographical information about Dr. H.O. Simon?

I see it as being of equal importance to the AUFBAU publications and would like to try to get it digitized onto the web to be searched by anyone interested, as is AUFBAU already. I have so far located 1939 - 1946 in paper format, and probably also on Microfilm

Thanks for any input you may have
