We have been fortunate to obtain a very interesting historic film for our next evening and you will see the details below. We hope you will join us for what promise to be an enjoyable evening. Guests are always welcome and pay a R20 entrance fee.

Alan Cobham was a Great War pilot who pioneered British long-distance commercial aviation during the 1920s – 30s. In 1926 he flew from Croydon down Africa to Cape Town (Youngsfield) and back. This is recorded in a 50 minute black & white film with commentary. The film will be introduced by Dr Gordon Pirie, former professor of Transportation Geography at UWC and currently Deputy Director of UCT's African Centre for Cities.
