The Gees Judgement (download below) has changed the way that Heritage Authorities have been managing impacts to areas with heritage significance, not without controversy. This has had implication for the work of many members of APHP. We would like to interrogate this judgement further and have convened a panel of experts to discuss the judgement, its implications and its impact on the implementation of the NHRA.

Our panelists are Penelope Meyer, Richard Summers and Stephen Townsend.

Date: 19 October 2017 17.30 – 19.30

Venue: Cape Institute for Architecture, 71 Hout Street, Cape Town

Price: R50 for non-members (APHP members free)

Please formulate and send any questions on the topic to the APHP Secretary in advance so that they can be tabled at the panel discussion. Info.wcape@aphp.org.za
